Visit of the Right Reverend Bishop of Lichfield Michael Ipgrave

Today we were very pleased to welcome special visitor to our school- The Right Reverend Bishop of Lichfield Michael Ipgrave. He came to visit our school and to formally dedicate the last part of our school expansion project.

Mr Gentle Head Teacher, Mr Johnson Chair of Governors, Rev Dave Wills from St Leonard’s Church as well as our Head Girl and Head Boy, welcomed him. Once escorted into school the Bishop and other valued members of the Governing Body and school community were treated to a musical

performance by the school recorder group and the school choir. We were very proud of the children who performed beautifully and represented our school well.

Following this, the Head Girl and Head Boy took the visitors on a tour of our school. They shared with visitors a brief history of our school. In dedication of our school expansion. The Bishop then led the school in Worship giving thanks to God for our school. This was followed by Worship through Song with Bishop Mike joining in with the wonderful singing in praise of God. Mr Gentle then gave thanks to all our visitors and led the school in our prayer The Lord’s Prayer. It was a day for us to remember.
