Children in 3LF had a super afternoon at Forest Schools at the Adventure Playground. They designed their own nature mandalas and used mallets and hammers to transfer leaf and petal prints onto fabric.

We have started our new science topic which is 'Plants'. We explored our forest area and completed a scavenger hunt to look for certain leaves, plants and flowers. We created a piece of art work using clay. We planted some seeds and completed some symmetrical leaf drawings.

Class 3LAF had a great time at Birmingham Botanical Gardens today (Monday 1st June). The weather was kind, it stayed dry while we were there. We enjoyed a science workshop. Had our picnic lunch, played in the park and explored all the wonderful plants and flowers.

Some children in Year 3 were lucky enough to be chosen for a Bikability lesson today. They were shown how to balance, brake and pedal. Some confident riders were taught about road safety and bike maintenance. There is another lesson on Wednesday so if your child had a letter last week can you please ensure you have registered them on the app to take part.

Class 3LF have really enjoyed working scientifically this week, we tested our own paper aircraft to see which could fly for the longest and we tested materials to see what's the best for blowing your nose!

Class 3LF look fantastic in their costumes and own clothes. We have enjoyed performing our poem 'Gran, can you rap?' to celebrate World Book Day!

Children and parents from Year 3 were invited to Kingswood. They spent the day doing lots of outdoor fun activities!

On Monday 20th October Class 3LF were treated to a performance from Gazebo titled 'Hidden Treasures'. This was part of our Black History Celebrations. We all enjoyed taking part, looking at artefacts and listening to stories from the past.

Year 3 have made a good start with their cooking sessions. Each week different children are chosen to take part with 2 members of staff. So far we have made fruity cinnamon swirls and crumpet pizzas. This week we are making gingerbread flapjacks!!!
