Investigation for the Best Materials in D & T

In D & T, Year 2 explored a range of materials to discover which would be most suitable for making a kite. The children tested each material for strength, how easily it could tear, and whether it was waterproof.

Through hands‑on investigation and thoughtful discussion, they were able to compare the properties of different materials and make informed conclusions about which ones would work best. It was a great opportunity for them to develop their scientific enquiry skills while having fun experimenting.
