Year 4 enjoyed their Viking themed day learning about the Viking culture, battles and lifestyles. We made shields and practised our skills with a shield battle!

Congratulations to all our Easter Raffle winners! Thank you to everyone who bought tickets or sent money in for their children to take part. Money raised bought an Easter Egg for every child in school. Your support is always appreciated!

Each half term we focus on a core Christian value. This half term it has been based around Truthfulness. During whole school and class worship children have heard about the importance of truthfulness and honesty. This is linked to relevant stories from the Bible and real life. Each core value has a memory verse from the Bible. The Memory verse for Truthfulness is “ Tell the truth to each other” Zechariah 8:16. The children explored creativity using natural materials to design and create their own animal collages. They worked with great focus and quickly discovered how challenging—and sometimes unstable—it can be to build with items from nature. Despite the difficulty, they showed fantastic perseverance and produced some wonderfully imaginative artwork.
