Y2 Sculptures with Natural Materials
The children created wonderful sculptures using natural materials and salt dough. They explored how to build and connect sticks and twigs, discovering through trial and error just how tricky it could be. They persevered, supported one another, and achieved fantastic results. What an amazing job they did!

Year 2 – Parent/Children Art Workshop
Some Year 2 parents and children worked really hard with the artist in residence to make a 3D sculpture of the Arctic using recycled card. Children learnt to use templates and build 3d models using a layered method to create a 3D igloo and some animals. They also used different methods to make other 3D animals and an Inuit. Both children and parents had lots of fun!

Exploring Plant Lifecycles in Science
This term in Science, Year 2 have been learning about different plant lifecycles and observing how seeds grow and change over time. Today, the children used real plants and seeds to observe each stage first‑hand. They carefully examined and described every part of the lifecycle — from seed, to germination, to seedling, and finally to a mature plant. This hands‑on investigation helped deepen their understanding of how plants grow and provided a wonderful opportunity for them t
