Today, the children explored creativity using natural materials to design and create their own animal collages. They worked with great focus and quickly discovered how challenging - and sometimes unstable - it can be to build with items from nature. Despite the difficulty, they showed fantastic perseverance and produced some lovely artwork.
Yesterday, our Year 2 children worked together to recreate The Obliteration Room , a famous installation by Yayoi Kusama, the artist they have been exploring in their art lessons this term. The children collaborated brilliantly, showing incredible maturity, creativity, and passion throughout the activity. We were truly impressed by their teamwork and enthusiasm — they surprised us all! Well done, Year 2!
